Rivers State LG Election 2024: Governor Fubara swear in newly elected LG Chairmen, urge them to ‘work for the people and maintain the peace’

Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has sworn in newly elected Local Government Chairmen, and urged them “to embrace the spirit of service, work for the people and maintain the peace and progress of our beloved state.”

The Rivers State Local Government Election 2024 held on Saturday 5 October, 2024.

According to Governor Fubara: “Today marked a new dawn for Rivers State as we swore in the newly elected local government chairmen. This is a call to serve with the requisite responsibility of uniting and uplifting our people.


“I urge every chairman to embrace the spirit of service, work for the people and maintain the peace and progress of our beloved state.


Together, we will build a greater Rivers State as we ensure that this administration’s goals are met for the benefit of all.”
