President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent his commiserations to the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited as well as families of victims over the helicopter crash that happened in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday 24 October, 2024.

Via a press release by the NNPC, three (3) bodies have been recovered following the crash.
Eight (8) person were on board the helicopter – six (6) passengers and two (2) crew members.
The President urged military officers involved in various operations in the zone to join the rescue mission and provide all necessary support to the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and other relevant agencies.
