Governor of Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, has come out to express gratitude to Akwa Ibomites, and Nigerians for “the incredible outpouring of love, prayers and worda of encouragement through messages of condolence” following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.

Mrs. Patience Umo Eno died “following an illness” on Thursday 26 September, 2024, as disclosed by the Akwa Ibom Government via a statement.
Governor Eno wrote: “On behalf of my family, I wish to express my deepest gratitude and eternal indebtedness to all Akwa Ibomites in particular and Nigerians in general for the incredible outpouring of love, support, prayers, and words of encouragement through phone calls, messages of condolence, and visits since the unexpected sunset that befell us. This has really encouraged and strengthened us at this time.”
