Hagari said, the sad incident occurred “the day before 7/10.”

On Monday 7 October, 2024, Israel marked one year since Palestinian fighters struck Israel by surprise, killing more than 1,000 Israelis and taking many others hostage.

According to Hagari: “Yesterday, the day before 7/10, we received another reminder of the heroism of our female and male fighters in the attack at the Beer Sheva Central Station. In the attack, an MGB police officer, Shira Chaya Soslik, was killed and her friends, MGB fighters, who responded with courage and determination in order to neutralize the terrorist, were injured. I visited them today at the Soroka hospital and heard from them about the attack and the expectation to return to combat service as soon as possible And I mean as warriors, I wished them a speedy recovery, and told them I was proud to have such warriors.”
