Israel V Hamas: Hagari’s statement on Sinwar’s death – ‘We will not rest until we bring home all our hostages by any means’

Spokesperson of Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Daniel Hagari, has released his statement following the killing of Yahya Sinwar, leader of Hamas.

“Since the beginning of this war that Sinwar started on October 7 — we’ve said: Our war is with Hamas, not the people of Gaza. We mean it.”

Hagari said, “our war is with Hamas, not the people of Gaza. We mean it.”

Sinwar was eliminated by IDF on Thursday 17 October, 2024 in Gaza.

The IDF Spox said, “our work is not done. We will not rest until we bring home all out hostages by any means”.

Via a video, Hagari said: “Sinwar was responsible for the most brutal attack against Israel in our history.


“101 hostages still remain in Gaza in brutal conditions.


“We are working to increase the amount of humanitarian aid including food, water and medicine into Gaza. The people of Gaza are suffering because of Yahya Sinwar.


“Our work is not done. We will not rest until we bring home all our hostages by any means.”
