Hurricane Milton: ‘Continue to use caution since deadly hazards remain, including downed power lines’ – NHC

National Hurricane Center (NHC) has released its “last advisory on #Milton”.

Latest reports reveal, at least sixteen (16) have died following Hurricane Milton in the state of Florida.

According to edition.cnn.com:

Here is the death toll by county:

• St. Lucie County: 6

• Pinellas County: 2

• Volusia County: 4

• Citrus County: 1

• Hillsborough County: 1

• Polk County: 1

• Orange County: 1

NHC warned residents of Florida “continue to use caution since deadly hazards remain, including downed power lines.”

Hurricane Milton made landfall in Sarasota County, Florida on Wednesday 9 October, 2024 and wrecked havoc in the coastal State including, collapsing a crane on a newspaper building and blowing off the roof of a sports arena.

According to NHC: “All tropical and storm surge warnings have been discontinued. This is the last advisory on #Milton.


“Continue to use caution since deadly hazards remain, including downed power lines and flooded areas.  exhaustion.”
