Floods In Nigeria: President Biden express condolences to President Tinubu

President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, has expressed his condolences to President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, “on the floods impacting his country and my appreciation for his leadership in securing the humanitarian release of Tigran Gambaryan”.

According to the United Nations (UN): “devastating floods across Nigeria have displaced hundreds of thousands, shut down transport lines and destroyed farmlands just before the harvest season.”

President Biden wrote: “Earlier, I spoke with President Tinubu of Nigeria to express my condolences on the floods impacting his country and my appreciation for his leadership in securing the humanitarian release of Tigran Gambaryan.


We also spoke about the value of our partnership.”
