Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, flag off construction of Nortra Tractor Assembly Plant and Service Centre in Enugu |
The Governor said, the “vision” is to grow “Enugu state’s economy from $4.4bn to $30bn”.
According to Governor Mbah: “Today, I flagged off the construction of the Nortra Tractor Assembly Plant and Service Centre in Enugu. We are partnering with ODK Group of Denmark, and this goes beyond acquiring tractors. It’s about creating jobs, stimulating local production, and advancing agricultural transformation in Enugu.
We are pleased with this milestone because it is a significant step towards realising our vision of growing our beloved state’s economy from $4.4bn to $30bn. Out of the 1,000 tractors we plan to introduce, 800 will be assembled right here in Enugu. This initiative reinforces our commitment to making Enugu a hub for innovation and development.
“To ensure the success of this partnership, our administration is committed to providing key support to investors, including critical infrastructure, security, and de-risking the investment environment. We will also offer favourable policies, access to local talent, and the necessary utilities to ensure ODK Group’s long-term success in Enugu.
Enugu is open for business.”
