Christopher Nkunku came off the bench and worked with debutant, Jadon Sancho, to deliver a lone goal triumph for Chelsea against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday 14 September, 2024.
Nkunku’s late goal, in the 86th minute, was all the Blues needed to cart home all three points as the hosts lost a 36th minute penalty after Evanilson’s spot kick was saved.
The top flight encounter finished with a record 14 yellow cards dished out.
