Alau Dam Collapse: Maiduguri Flood – NEMA continue evacuations and rescue works as it profiles affected persons

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) continues with “evacuations and rescue of persons trapped by the flood.”

According to NEMA: “NEMA North East Office in Maiduguri continued with evacuations and Rescue of persons trapped by the flood behind Shehu’s Palace and Gonge areas. Provision of water and medical outreach in the established camps and profiling of person affected by the flooding.”

The flooding in Maiduguri was caused by heavy rain which led to the collapse of Alau Dam in the city.
