He explained, “the health insurance scheme, designed to serve as a safety net, will cover basic medical services at primary healthcare centers across the state.”
According to Governor Eno: “Yesterday, we took a significant step in our journey to provide quality healthcare for every Akwa Ibomite. I am excited to announce the official launch of the Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Scheme (ARISECare), and the approval of N180 million to enroll 9,150 junior civil servants (Grade Level 1-6) into the scheme. This initiative is a direct reflection of our ARISE Agenda and commitment to ensuring that all our people, particularly the vulnerable and those in rural areas, have access to affordable healthcare.
The health insurance scheme, designed to serve as a safety net, will cover basic medical services at primary healthcare centers across the state. I’m also delighted to announce that, as part of our complementary services, we’ve already delivered six ambulances and plan to deliver more to enhance our emergency medical response system.
This is just the beginning as we continue to push for better healthcare outcomes, and I’m grateful to everyone involved in making this a reality.”
