“What a ride it’s been as the sun sets on Paris 2024.”

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 which started on Friday 26 July, 2024 came to a close on Sunday 11 August, 2024.

According to The Olympic Games: “The sun sets on Paris 2024. What a ride it’s been!


“What else has been lighting up the city’s skyline over the past 17 days? The Olympic Flame. Where’s it being taken to?”

Los Angeles (LA) will host the next Olympic Games in 2028.

The Olympic flag has been officially handed over. Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, transferred the flag to Mayor of LA, Karen Bass, at the closing ceremony of Paris 2024 on Sunday 11 August, 2024 in the presence of Thomas Bach, IOC President.

The Olympic Games continued: “La Marseillaise. At the Stade de France. What an emotional moment!


“Paris, it’s been a pleasure.


“From the Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony, we’ve come full circle!


Let’s welcome in the flagbearers!
