Premier League has reacted to the “racist remark” against Hwang Hee-chan during the pre-season encounter between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Como on Monday 15 July, 2024.

“Racism is completely unacceptable and has no place in football or society”, the Premier League said.

English Premier League football club, Wolverhampton Wanderers (@Wolves) tweeted: “Head coach Gary O’Neil says Hee Chan Hwang has the full support of the Wolves group, after he reported a racist remark in Monday’s pre-season match with 

@Como_1907.”

The Premier League quoted @Wolves tweet and commented: “Racism is completely unacceptable and has no place in football or society. We encourage anyone who hears or sees discrimination to report it so action can be taken. Hwang Hee-chan and Wolves have the full support of the Premier League.
