President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, travelled to France to meet with President Emmanuel Macron, to “discuss support for Ukraine” as the fighting between Russia and Ukraine intensifies.

“America’s ties with France run deep”, the US President said.
According to President Biden: “Thank you, President Macron and Mrs. Macron, for the warm welcome in Paris.
“America’s ties with France run deep – through 246 years of vital work together.
With our shared vision, we will continue to address the challenges of today.
“It was great sitting down with President Macron to discuss support for Ukraine, the need for a free and open Indo-Pacific, the crisis in the Middle East, and efforts to combat climate change. The U.S. and France will continue to tackle our most pressing issues – together.
“The United States and France are united by the greatest of causes:
Democracy, liberty, equality, opportunity, and freedom.
Our friendship has endured for nearly 250 years – and will for years to come.”
