He described Russia’s military actions on Ukraine as “evil”, saying, “the world is witnessing how brave our people are in defending themselves, despite all the brutality of Russian strikes”.

The fighting between Russia and Ukraine is more than two years old; it started in February, 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine.

President Zelenskyy said: “The world is witnessing the evil that Russian troops are bringing.

Everyone can see how brave our people are in defending themselves. Despite all the brutality of Russian strikes, our emergency services—all those who save lives—are responding effectively everywhere.

I am grateful to our Ukrainian State Emergency Service and National Police units, to every medic, to all repair crew workers involved in the recovery efforts following Russian strikes, and to all volunteers who are assisting and rescuing our people.

“I thank everyone who takes care of Ukrainians, life in our country, and our entire state.”
