Ebrahim Raisi, President of Iran, alongside Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, have lost their lives in a helicopter crash in a mountainous area of Western Iran, as disclosed by the country’s state media.

The unfortunate incident happened on Sunday 19 May, 2024.
Earlier, it was reported that, the helicopter conveying the Iranian President , Foreign Minister and their entourage, had made a hard landing due to foggy conditions.
The helicopter crashed in North-Western Iran which is a remote area, on their way back from Azerbaijan where Raisi had been meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.
