Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom (UK), David Cameron, said, “the UK is providing emergency assistance to displaced people, including shelter, bedding, hygiene and cooking equipment” for the people of Papua New Guinea following a landslide that happened in the country in Oceania.

Over 150 houses and 2,000 people are feared buried following the landslide in Papua New Guinea, the country’s National Disaster Center revealed.
Cameron described the unfortunate incident which led to “destruction and loss of life” as “devastating”.
According to the former Prime Minister of the UK: “Images of destruction and loss of life following a landslide in Papua New Guinea’s Enga Province are devastating.
“The UK is providing emergency assistance to displaced people, including shelter, bedding, hygiene and cooking equipment.
“Our thoughts are with the people of PNG.”
