Nigeria’s former Minister of Education, Obiageli ‘Oby’ Ezekwesili, at the Education World Forum (EWF) in London “cheerleading for Foundational Learning for children of our continent”.
She said, “the importance of fixing this bedrock of future learning and life success is still lost on many political and policy leaders of our continent”.
According to Ezekwesili: “London at the Education World Forum -EWF, cheerleading for Foundational Learning for children of our continent as I moderated a Breakfast Discussion of Education Ministers and global parters in the FL Coalition.
The importance of fixing this bedrock of future learning and life success is still lost on many political and policy leaders of our continent.
A few leaders who are rightly appalled by the dismal data that only 1 out of every 10 children achieve Foundational Skills in Africa, are thankfully taking the right evidence-informed actions and improving learning outcomes of our children.
Kudos to them and it is delightful to support their efforts.
“We will keep pushing on for spread and scaling of improvement.”
