The State of Maryland plans to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge in just over four (4) years at a cost estimated between $1.7 billion and $1.9 billion, as disclosed by a state transportation official on Thursday.

Authorities also made known late Wednesday as salvage works continue, they had recovered the body of a fifth person who died in the March 26, 2024 mishap.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge, Baltimore, collapsed after a massive container ship lost power and crashed into it.
The collapse of the Bridge forced the Port of Baltimore to be shut down, however, President Joe Biden has assured that, the Port will be reopened fully by the end of May.
Also, the President assured to stand by the people of Maryland as they rebuild the FSK Bridge.
When the massive container ship crashed into the bridge, six members of a road work crew plunged to their death.
