His statement is coming following a tweet by an X user (@toluogunlesi).

X user (@toluogunlesi) tweeted: “I flew @flyairpeace at the weekend, from @Gatwick_Airport to @LOSairport. You could sense the Nigerian pride aboard – including a round of applause when we landed in Lagos. Not the usual clapping for safe landing that follows a turbulent flight, no—instead applause inspired by the pride of flying ‘Nigerian’ from London.

“One of the very Nigerian things about the flight was the multiple text messages I received saying – no, warning – very clearly that check-in would close at 9am, only for me to get to the airport and realize it was actually 9.55am. Looks like Air Peace had to do this because of issues with passengers (Nigerians) turning up late. Fair enough.

“More thoughts later.”

Bashir Ahmad quoted @toluogunlesi tweet and commented: “Also, I flew @flyairpeace last month, from Kano to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and I had a similar sense of pride. I have booked my next trip with them to London next month. We will continue to support our own. #FlyNigeria!”
