Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has received “Africa’s Richest person”, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, at the Government House today, Friday 9 February, 2024.

The Governor “solicited his support to establish another Independent Power Plant to revive the state’s ailing industries.”
According to Governor Yusuf: “We were honoured to receive our esteemed son of the soil, Africa’s richest person, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, at the Government House, today.
I used the opportunity to praise his various contributions to different sectors in the state, especially in education and health services.
However, I solicited his support to establish another Independent Power Plant to revive the state’s ailing industries.
I also made a passionate appeal for more interventions from the Dangote Foundation to equip our health facilities, and upgrade the universities.
We also requested for his intervention in constructing concrete roads in Kano, as the Dangote Group has done in other states.
“Overall, our engagement with the business magnate was a positive step towards improving government-private sector relations in our state.”
