Bayer Leverkusen will field against Bayern Munich on Saturday 10 February, 2024 at Bay Arena at 18:30.
In his press conference ahead of the top flight encounter, Tuchel, confessed, “none have been able to beat them”, however, said “we’re going there to win”.
On his squad, Tuchel said: “Unfortunately,
@AlphonsoDavies won’t be available as he wasn’t able to train. @Manuel_Neuer will return to goalkeeper training today. We’ll wait until tomorrow afternoon before we decide whether he or Sven Ulreich will start.
“Joshua Kimmich, Minjae Kim and Dayot Upamecano are all back in training and could be an option. If everything goes well, they will all be in the squad.”
Ahead of the away match against Bayer Leverkusen, Tuchel said: “30 teams have tried [to beat them] and none have been able to do so. It’s an impressive run and all down to their quality as a team. We are two points behind them right now, so we have everything to play for. We will be ready to pose a challenge for Leverkusen. We’re going there to win.
“Usually, you’d be watching it on TV. I’m grateful that I have the ability to have an impact. We have a big week ahead of us. It’s about being able to demand everything from not only our opponents, but also ourselves, from start to finish.
“We’re fully focused on what we’re doing. We want to deliver a statement performance. We will need to perform to the very best of our abilities in order to win. We want to prove ourselves this coming week.”
