According to INEC: “The Hon. Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, along with Members of the Commission, convened the first meeting of 2024 with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).
“The primary agenda of this meeting was to delve into the meticulous preparations for the upcoming bye/rerun elections slated for the 3rd of February 2024.
“The meeting focused on key areas crucial to the success of the upcoming elections such as logistics, security, and the recruitment and training of ad-hoc staff for the upcoming elections.”
