Manager Unai Emery’s side took the lead early, in the 7th minute, through John McGinn, who successfully converted a cross from Leon Bailey.
The Gunners had a late goal by former Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz, ruled out by Video Assistant Referee (VAR) by referee Jarred Gillett for handball.
With this result, Aston Villa are third on the table with thirty-five (35) points, two (2) points behind Leaders, Liverpool, while Arsenal are second with thirty-six (36) points.
