Attack On Israel: President Biden grateful to Israel for ‘support in helping to secure the release of two American hostages’

President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, has expressed his gratitude to Israel for “support in helping to secure the release of two American hostages”.

Few days back, President Biden announced, the US secured the release of two Americans held hostage by Palestinian militants known as Hamas.

The two Americans were taken hostage by Hamas on Saturday 7 October, 2023 when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel.

The surprise attack by Hamas on Israel resulted to the killing of hundreds of Israelis, with several others (different nationalities) taken hostage.

The US President also disclosed, he had a discussion with Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on the “ongoing efforts to secure the release of all remaining hostages taken by Hamas.”

Furthermore, Biden, revealed some developments in Israel and Gaza, saying, “the first two convoys of humanitarian assistance arrived in Gaza yesterday”, Sunday 22 October, 2023.

President Biden said: “Today, I spoke with @IsraeliPM about developments in Israel and Gaza.


“The first two convoys of humanitarian assistance arrived in Gaza yesterday, and we affirmed that there will now be a continued flow of this critical aid to Palestinians in need.


“I also expressed appreciation for Israel’s support in helping to secure the release of two American hostages, and Prime Minister Netanyahu and I discussed ongoing efforts to secure the release of all remaining hostages taken by Hamas.


“We’ll continue to stay in close touch.”
