Hamas issued a warning to residents of the city of Ashkelon, Southern Israel to evacuate the city by 17:00 local time (15:00 BST), with a threat of attack.
As deadline of 17:00 local time issued by Hamas has passed, loud explosions could be heard in Ashkelon.
Some minutes after Hamas deadline passed, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disclosed, it has not stopped its retaliatory attacks on the Gaza Strip.
