The Americans were in charge the 120 minutes, however, were unable to find the back of the net as they were denied by a beautiful goalkeeping performance from Zecira Musovic.
Sweden have progressed into the quarter finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 after discomfiting the USA 5-4 in a penalty shootout.
The Europeans will do battle with Japan in the quarter finals.
