The reports of fire incident at Power line Market in Aba, Abia State, have “saddened” Peter Obi.

The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), disclosed the unfortunate incident resulted to the loss of goods “worth millions of Naira”.
The former Governor of Anambra State lamented, “sad occurrences like this become even more painful when you consider the very challenging economic times that the nation is currently passing”, adding, “I sincerely sympathise with the victims of this unfortunate fire incident”.
Obi said: “I am saddened by the reports of a fire incident at Powerline Market, Aba, Abia State, which destroyed goods worth millions of Naira. Sad occurrences like this become even more painful when you consider the very challenging economic times that the nation is currently passing
“through. I sincerely sympathise with the victims of this unfortunate fire incident and all the traders at that market who have suffered losses. I urge the relevant agencies to carry out a thorough investigation and ascertain the cause of the fire to help prevent future
“occurrences. I also encourage the state government and concerned persons and institutions to come to the aid of the victims and help them get back on their feet.”
