He served as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023.
Buhari was present at the inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as new President of Nigeria.
Tinubu was sworn-in as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday 29 May, 2023 at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Buhari’s departure to Daura was made know by Bashir Ahmad, who said: “Alhamdulillah! President Muhammadu Buhari departs Abuja for Daura, his hometown, after eight years serving the country as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Thank you, Baba.”
