He made this statement when he attended the Apex Igbo Cultural Organization, Ohaneze Imeobi, describing his attendance at the event as a “solidarity visit”.
Obi said: “I attended the Apex Igbo Cultural Organisation, Ohaneze Imeobi. It was a solidarity visit to the Organization, especially under its new leadership, by Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, a respected Igbo Leader and Father.
“I urged them, as I have always done with other ethnic nationalities, to ensure the unity of their people, and to pursue those core values and behaviours that contribute to sustainable nation-building that will lead to a new, peaceful and progressive Nigeria.
“I thanked the host Governor, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who was physically present, and prayed for fruitful deliberations that will foster peace and development in the region and beyond.”
