The essence of the campaign is to “create awareness on early diagnosis of high blood pressure which is known to be the number one risk factor of heart disease”, the Lagos State Government said.
As revealed by the Lagos State Govt: “As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Service Delivery Unit (SDU) at the General Hospital, Ijede embarked on free sensitization and blood pressure check at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).
“The essence of the campaign is to create awareness on early diagnosis of high blood pressure which is known to be the number one risk factor of heart disease, stroke, renal complications and premature death worldwide.
“Managing BP in order to promote a healthy and longer lifestyle, beneficiaries were advised on regular visitation to the hospital for check-up, measuring their blood pressure accurately, eating balanced diet, engaging in regular physical exercise and avoid unhealthy lifestyle.”
