Sudan Unrest: NHS Doctors told they can catch last UK evacuation flights

In a U-turn on its policy, NHS Doctors in Sudan have been told by the UK government they can now catch evacuation flight out of the North African country.

Above twenty (20) NHS Medics were initially informed they could not board flights because they were not British nationals, although, they have a UK work permit.

The U-turn is coming just hours before the UK’s final rescue flights out of Sudan.

There is severe fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force which has led to heavy unrest in the country with the capital, Khartoum, being most affected.

The fighting which started two weeks ago is as a result of a power strife between the two military divisions.

The unrest in the North African country is entering its third week.
