Gabriel Martinelli prodded Mikel Arteta’s side ahead from close range early on before setting up compatriot Gabriel Jesus inside half an hour.
Chances continued to come at both ends in a captivating match, and Liverpool pulled one back through Mohamed Salah late in the half.
Salah missed a penalty after the interval, before substitute Roberto Firmino headed a late equaliser from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross. Either side could have won it in injury-time, with Aaron Ramsdale making two magnificent saves.arsenal.com
