The hosts were held to a goalless draw by the Saints at the Old Trafford in a top flight clash on Sunday 12 March, 2023.

Casemiro’s red card hands him a four-match ban. The Brazil international was sent off in the 34th minute of the 0-0 draw for a tackle on Carlos Alcarez, however, Red Devils Dutch Manager has not ruled out an appeal to the four-match ban.

Ten Hag, in his post-match comments, said: “When you freeze anything it looks bad – but everyone who knows something about top football knows what is bad and what is fair.

“And Casemiro is a really fair player. Tough but fair.
