Adeleke revealed the bridge has been abandoned for years and “totally cut off” as it was the link to one of the state’s biggest markets.
During his inspection of the construction of the Akinjole Bridge, Governor Adeleke reassured the people of the State of his “administration commitment to deliver good infrastructure in the state”.
Governor Adeleke said: “We visited Owoope Area, Gbongan to inspect the ongoing construction of Akinjole Bridge yesterday. The bridge linking one of the major markets has been abadoned for years and totally cut off. I urged the contractor to increase the pace of work as the bridge is strategic.
“I also reassured the people of our administration commitment to deliver good infrastructure in the state.”
