According to reports, Adeleke was sacked due to over-voting, and former Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has been declared winner of the July 16, 2022 governorship election held in the State.
After the sack verdict against Adeleke, his numerous supporters have taken to the streets to protest, however, he called “on our people to remain calm”.
He told the protesters “we will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done”.
Adeleke wrote: “I want to use this opportunity to call on our people to remain calm. We will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done. Let everyone be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate. God bless Osun!”
He further wrote: “Rest assured our mandate will not be stolen. Keep calm no cause for alarm, maintain the peace”
In the video, Governor Adeleke told the people of Osun: “Claim of over-voting is unfounded. I have the right of appeal. By God’s grace, we will triumph. Remain law-abiding.
