Tottenham Hotspur fell 0-2 to Aston Villa in the Premier League match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 1 January.

Spurs head coach, Antonio Conte, warned, to repeat last year’s top four feat, Tottenham will need another miracle.
This is coming after the hosts were stunned with a 0-2 defeat at home by Aston Villa.
Conte also said “it was a bit crazy” to consider “Tottenham as title contenders”, further saying, for Spurs “to become a title contender” they will need to “have a solid foundation”.
Argentine winger, Emiliano Buendia, opened scoring for the visitors in the 50th minute and Brazilian defensive midfielder, Douglas Luiz sealed victory for Aston Villa in the 73rd minute.
Conte, in his post-match comments, said: “Last season we made a miracle,’ said the Italian. ‘Why? Because we played only one competition, and we played with 12 or 13 players and they didn’t have injuries in the last 15 games.
“We played with best players in every game because we played only in the league. We did a miracle, but I knew which was the situation.
“Then I was very clear with the club, because I remember very well in the summer, people talking about Tottenham as title contenders. It was a bit crazy to read this. To become a title contender, to become a team ready to fight to win something, you need to have a solid foundation.
“That means to have 14 or 15 strong players, quality and the other young players to develop.

“But this is a process guys, it’s a process. People think you arrive and you win. This can happen for a team that are used to winning in the past, but if you are not used to it, it means you have to create this situation. For this, you need time and patience.”
Aston Villa winger, Ashley Young, said: “Great Team Performance. Great way to start the new year with 3 big away points.”
Manager Unai Emery said: “With our supporters, we can have days like today. It’s perfect.”
