Premier League: Brighton 4-1 Chelsea – Graham Potter suffer first loss at former club

Leandro Trossard continued his beautiful run of scoring in every match under Roberto de Zerbi, scoring for the hosts in just five minutes of play.

Loftus-Cheek handed the Seagulls a second goal after turning a corner kick into the back of his own net, and just before halftime, Trevor Chalobah got the last touch of the ball to hit the back of his own net and make it three for Brighton.

Brighton were always mounting pressure on their visitors anytime they charged forward, and only two heroic clearances from defender Thiago Silva ensured the score was kept down.

After suffering an injury, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was replaced by Edouard Mendy at halftime.

Three minutes into the second half, Kai Havertz pulled one back for Graham Potter’s side after heading home Conor Gallagher’s beautiful cross.

Through Pascal Gross, the Seagulls added a fourth goal late in the second minute of additional time.
