Graham Potter’s Chelsea discomfited Aston Villa 2-0 in their Premier League match at the Villa Park on Sunday 16 October, despite an indifferent display by the Blues.

The win makes it Chelsea’s fourth successive win in all competitions, as well as heightens pressure on the under-fire Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard.
Following Tyrone Mings’ misjudgement of a headed clearance, the visitors were gifted an early lead just in the sixth minute of play as midfielder Mason Mount, who was in the right place and at the right time, capitalized and latched onto the loose ball, slotted it home from inside the box.

The Blues went two goals ahead of the Claret and Blue as Mount secured his brace with a beautifully struck free-kick from 25 yards out in the 65th minute to seal a vital triumph for Chelsea.
