Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid goalkeeper, has been awarded the Yashin Trophy for his outstanding performance during the 2021/22 season.

Courtois put in several beautiful displays to help Real Madrid win the La Liga and Uefa Champions League last season.
His crowning glory appeared in May, during the Uefa Champions League final, ensuring a clean sheet and producing a host of incredible saves as Carlo Ancelotti’s Los Blancos discomfited Liverpool by a lone goal at the Stade de France.
The Belgian goalkeeper was named the Man Of The Match for the final following his beautiful efforts.
Courtois, officially becomes the third player to clinch the award after Alisson in 2019 and Gianluigi Donnarumma in 2021.
The goalkeeper has remained in fine form this season as his continues to help Real Madrid maintain their unbeaten run this season
