The Group Stage matches of the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Costa Rica, has come to an end with eight countries scaling through to the quarter finals of the tournament.

The eight countries that qualified for the quarter finals are: Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Nigeria, France, Japan and Netherlands.
The quarter finals will kick off on Saturday 20, August.

Nigeria is the only remaining African team in the tournament.
The Falconets finished as Group C winners, clinching all nine points after emerging victorious in all three preliminary matches.
Nigeria netted a total of five goals in the three group games.
Netherlands, Nigeria’s opponent in the quarter finals, finished second in Group D with six points.
