Gakpo inspired Netherlands to a 2-0 triumph over host nation, Qatar, in the FIFA World Cup 2022 match at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.
With this result, Qatar becomes the first host nation to get kicked out of the World Cup with three defeats at the group stage and finishing at the bottom without a point.
Netherlands have progressed to the last-16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, and will slug it out with the USA in the knockouts.
PSV Eindhoven winger, Cody Gakpo, scored Netherlands’ first goal in the 29th minute and Frenkie de Jong sealed victory for the Dutch side in the 49th minute.
