Tuesday has been declared a bank holiday.
The Sky Blue and Whites who defeated France in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final in a penalty shootout by four goals to two, following a tough match which ended 3-3 at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, landed home at 02:24 local time (05:24 GMT) on Tuesday.
Fans filled the streets as they travelled on an open-roof bus to their Football Association’s Headquarters.
The main celebration of the team’s victory in Qatar will be held at the Obelisk Monument at the Capital City at midday on Tuesday.
The day would be a bank holiday so fans “can express their deepest joy for the national team”, the government of Argentina declared.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, Lionel Messi, led the team off the plane, which carried the playmaker’s picture on its tail.
