An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), has shot Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer based in Lagos State, dead, in the Ajah area of the state on Christmas day.

Attached to the Ajah Police Station, the Police Officer who is unnamed, alongside his team were said to have attempted to stop Raheem and members of her family as they drove back home after a Christmas day church service.
As gathered, Raheem got shot when the car she was on tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge.
She was rushed to hospital, however, was confirmed dead.
Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the sad incident and said it was “unfortunate and avoidable”.
Hundeyin promised that justice will prevail.
He tweeted on Monday: “The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation.”
