The United States (US) has joined the league of countries that imposed Coronavirus testing on visitors from China.

This decision from the US is coming after Beijing made the announcement that it would reopen borders next week.
Other countries that announced mandatory Covid testing are Taiwan, Italy, India and Japan, however, the United Kingdom (UK) and Australia said, there were no fresh rules for travellers from China.
From 8 January, 2023, China will allow people travel more freely after shutting its borders to the world for three years.
China rapidly heightening Covid cases has ignited vigilance from other countries.
The Asian country reports about 5,000 cases on a daily basis, however, analysts say the reports are seriously undercounted.
Reports say, hospital are overpowered as the number of patients with covid-related cases has not stopped increasing, and residents are hustling to lay their hands on basic drugs.
The United States (US) said, on Wednesday, the absence of “adequate and transparent” Covid data in China had resulted to the country taking the decision to require Covid tests from travellers entering the country from China, Hong Kong and Macau.
