In one of the previous updates from the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the trigger-happy Police Officer’s case has been forwarded to the Police Headquarters in Abuja.
This simply means justice will soon be served to killer Policeman, ASP Dambri Vandi, who shot and killed Mrs. Raheem, as assured by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.
ASP Vandi shot and killed Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem on Christmas day in the Ajah area of Lagos.
Another update – according to SP Hundeyin, there were two other Police Officers with ASP Dambri Vandi on the day Lagos-based lawyer Mrs. Bolanle Raheem was shot and killed, and these two other Policemen “have been released” after “investigation” revealed they “had no hand in the shooting incident”, while the shooter and killer, ASP Vandi “is still in detention”.
SP Hundeyin also clarified, claims that ASP Vandi has been released is “totally false”.
The Lagos State Police Command PRO said: “ASP Drambi Vandi is still in detention!
“Investigation has shown that the other two officers with him had no hand in the shooting incident. They have, therefore, been released.
“Claims that the officer responsible for the shooting has been released is totally false.”
