Ministers in England have confirmed that passengers arriving from China will have to make available a negative Covid test before boarding a flight.

This is happening after several countries made the announcement that travellers from China would undergo screening after coronavirus cases heightened following Beijing’s move to relax its zero-Covid policy.
China has decided to completely open its borders on 8 January.
Testing for travellers from China have been imposed by the United States (US), France, India and Taiwan.
People travelling from China from 5 January on direct flights will be asked to take a pre-departure Covid test, the Department of Health and Social Care said.
