2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the extension of the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collection deadline.

INEC has officially extended the deadline for the collection of PVCs by seven (7) days, from 29 January, 2023 to 5 February, 2023.
Peter Obi termed the move a “welcome development” as well as “laudable”, saying it is another opportunity for registered voters to collect their PVCs.
He urged “all registered voters, who have not collected their PVCs to use this opportunity and do so”.
Obi wrote: “The extension of the PVC collection deadline, by INEC Nigeria, is a very welcome development, and laudable too. This affords many registered voters another opportunity of collecting their PVCs and getting ready to exercise their franchise.
“I urge all registered voters, who have not collected their PVCs to use this opportunity and do so, as we get ready to take back our country for good.“
