Pep Guardiola’s side opened scoring in the 15th minute through Julian Alvarez and in the 29th minute, Erling Braut Haaland found the back of the net to make it two for the visitors.
Phil Foden made it three on the stroke of halftime, and Alvarez’ shot just six minutes into the second half was deflected by Chris Mepham into the net of the Cherries.
