A fire outbreak occurred at the Akere auto spare parts market at Olodi-Apapa in the Ajegunle area of Lagos in the early hours of Wednesday 8 March, 2023.

Several shops were razed, however, the Lagos State Fire Service revealed its Ajegunle fire station successfully killed the fire.
Director of the Service, Margaret Adeseye, revealed a male adult with gunshot wound was found at the scene of the fire incident.
The Fire Service said the cause of the fire remains unknown and would require proper investigation.
